I was travelling through the images I recently created of singer-songwriter Helen Austin and this one really jumped at me. As I looked at it large on my screen I felt something. I think it really shows the things I have come to adore about Helen.
She has this expression, one of interest and compassion, yet, ready to laugh. That is what I adore about her, we can have deep honest conversations that include great amounts of humour - which I suppose is very similar to the music she creates.
This image makes me truly happy that through our years of creating photographs together, and crossing paths around the community, that I am able to call her a trustworthy and valued friend.
