Probably, according to some labour board somewhere it isn't okay to call someone who works for you your wifey, (unless they are, but really, who wants to be called wifey, it so should not be allowed)
Well Christine, isn't my wifey, nor do I ever call her wifey, but she kind of is my work wife. When you work just two people side by side, you get in each others business big time. You know each other's quirks, you don't have to finish your sentence, and you can do what we call family speak, which can involve everything from getting right to the point, to having so many conversational tangents that the point is seven thoughts removed by the time you finish your sentence. So Christine is my work wife, and I appreciate her, her integrity, hard work and her sense of humour deeply.
Tomorow is her birthday, and you know around here we don't take birthday's lightly. Even though we have piles of work to do, I pulled the "boss card" and told her she had to go to yoga and then we are heading out for a nice lunch at Local's, and I am looking forward to handing over a sweet little gift (oh.. how I love to tease.)
These photos were actually taken late summer. One of the perks of working with me is photo sessions whenever you want, but that doesn't guarantee you a quick turn around time. I promised Christine I would have them ready for her birthday, but I did even better - birthday eve.
